PROJECT
This 12,000 sf building, designed for Vance Thompson Vision in Alexandria, MN, has expanded its capabilities and has made it more able to respond to the growing demand for its services locally. This clinic, which includes an ambulatory surgery center, is ready to address the needs of the present and also the future as it was designed with future growth and expansion in mind. Focusing on LASIK, cataract surgery, cornea and glaucoma care, and other vision-related subjects, Vance Thompson is able to utilize this state-of-the-art facility to further contribute to the health and well-being of the community.
PROCESS
Vance Thompson Vision has served the Alexandria community for three generations providing quality care and health services. As it became clear that the existing clinic could no longer sustain its expanding list of clients and services, SRa partnered with Dr. Ristvedt to continue her family’s legacy of quality care. Working closely together, her vision for a new clinic which could employ the latest technology for patients was made a reality. Now, Vance Thompson Vision is more able than ever to support its community and guide the practice to further growth.
RESULT
Since its opening in 2020, Vance Thompson Vision has been more capable of caring for the diverse vision-related medical needs of the people of Alexandria. Apart from the ability of this facility to use the latest medical technology, its aesthetic and design are key elements that enhance the experience of patients. Comments are often made about the, “distinct halo lights that brighten the night sky.” Overall, the new clinic has positioned Vance Thompson Vision to better serve its community, expanding its capabilities and enhancing the patient experience..
