Architecture can play a transformative role in today’s healthcare facilities by finding the right balance between the need for quality of care and the individual needs of the patients and staff. The space they enter doesn’t need to be cold, sterile and stark; it can be aesthetically warm, positive and inviting. Creating an environment to promote healing and comfort is essential when designing a healthcare facility.

At SRa, we strive to accomplish this goal not only by designing spaces for optimal healthcare delivery but also by enhancing overall patient satisfaction and comfort to help facilitate healing. From the design of the building to the colors on the walls and noise mitigating accents, we enable healthcare organizations to improve quality of care while creating a first-class patient experience.

For all of your architecture needs in the healthcare industry, SRa can come alongside you to develop the property of your dreams.

The architecture of your healthcare facility in Minnesota can play a crucial role in the health of your patients. When the average person envisions a healthcare building, they think of a bleak, decrepit and uninviting hospital. Designing a healthcare facility which is inviting, comfortable and inspires calmness can help to change patients’ negative perceptions, making them more inclined to visit your building if they have a health concern.

SRa Architecture + Interiors is committed to designing healthcare facilities in Minnesota which place patients at ease during their visits. Our architects can help your healthcare organization stand out from the competition by creating a space that is welcoming to every patient. We make studied and deliberate choices when designing everything from the exterior of your healthcare building to the furniture and the artwork which we use to decorate the interior.

Jocelyne Dougan

Project Coordinator

During Jocelyne’s formative years she spent a lot of time with her grandmother painting, drawing, and making all sorts of crafts. As a child she watchedher dad, helpingwhere she could, renovatetheir home from the ground up. Theylivedin a constant cycle of demolishing and rebuilding,to make something new andbeautiful. As a teenager she began taking advanced art classes and making pottery whenever she had free time between classes and after school. Looking at Jocelyne’s childhood, architecture seemed like an obvious choice, but it was not so clear when Jocelyne entered college. She began her post-secondary education studying accounting due to her interests in business throughout high school. However, she quickly realized that creativity was a necessity for her future career. Jocelyne changed her major to architecture and transferred to the University of Minnesota. It was there thatshe grew her knowledge of architecture as well as, interior design, history, and art. In 2018 she graduated with her Bachelor of Design in Architecture and began working at a firm in Saint Paul, gaining experience in both government and educational design. She soon returned to the University of Minnesota to complete her Master of Architecture degree with the hopes of pursuing licensure. Now that Jocelyne has completed her master’s degree, her professional goals aim to experience as many opportunities as possible both for the sake of learning as well as the need to feed her inner child’s love of art and exploration. Jocelynehopes to apply a wide range of knowledge and skills to better inform an all-encompassing design practice.
